
Opera at the Brewery
After a sold-out show in March, Opera at the Brewery returns with a Winter Warmers Edition designed to chase away the chill!
Get cosy with steaming mulled cider, fresh local beers, hearty food truck fare, and a fiery mix of opera, musical theatre, and pub rock classics, all given an operatic twist.
Back by popular demand, Leah Phillips and Luke Belle return to the brewery stage with two 30-minute sets full of surprises, accompanied live on piano by the brilliant Chris Wong. Expect a relaxed night of incredible music in your favourite local brewery's warm, welcoming surroundings. No black tie required.
Seating Options
- Cabaret-style seats: $20 per person (shared tables of 4)
- Picnic tables: $120 per table (seats up to 8)
Standing room is free, but seating is limited. Book early to avoid missing out.
All proceeds from seat bookings go directly to the performers, supporting live opera in unexpected places.

Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg
Featuring an international Australian cast, the new Melbourne Opera production will be conducted by internationally acclaimed Wagner maestro Anthony Negus and directed by Suzanne Chaundy, the team who delivered Australia’s award-winning first regional production of Wagner’s masterpiece, The Ring Cycle in Bendigo in 2023.
Four performances of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg will be given in an intimate theatrical setting specially designed to showcase the beautifully restored Royal Exhibition Building, creating a spectacular environment for Wagner’s epic work.

Classical at the Hub
Pack your picnics, sit back and enjoy a free one-hour performance of Classical Music for Lunar New Year. It’s the perfect chance to enjoy the park, while hearing some fabulous classical ensemble music, featuring performers from the acclaimed Boroondara Eisteddfod and Town Hall Gallery Series.

Julie Houghton and Friends present ‘Tis the season…for Christmas joy!’ At St Paul’s Anglican Church, 2 Margaret St Canterbury on Sat Dec 4 at 2.30 pm. Leah will be joining this wonderful cohort of artists to sing a joyous Christmas carol. Booking details coming soon.

Live recital on 3MBS radio
A live-to-air recital and interview on the 3MBS Fine Music Melbourne program Vocal Chords with Sam Alfreds. The recital will include music from Mozart, Aaron Copland, Ned Rorem and Moya Henderson.

Enjoy an afternoon of opera performances by rising stars from Opera Scholars Australia. ‘Voices of Spring’ is OSA's first-ever digital concert, created to inspire our audience, provide invigorating updates from old friends (Alumni) and celebrate the development of our Scholars.
This concert also includes works by Verdi, Mozart, Beethoven, and Novello.
